Great news. We are growing! Earlier this summer, we decided that thanks to the generosity of our donors, we had the resources to do more than we were doing. So now, The Hand to Heart Project is offering the comfort of massage and compassionate touch to people with cancer in 15 towns in southwestern Vermont. As always, the service is free and provided in the clients’ homes. We also offer it to the primary caregivers of people with cancer.
The COVID 19 pandemic was a great challenge for us in the spring (and continues to be), but we have continued providing our service in more than two dozen towns throughout the Upper Valley region of New Hampshire and Vermont. Now, people in another region will get the benefit of this service.
Meet Anna Maynard
We have brought in an experienced new member of our team to serve clients in this new region. In addition to being a massage therapist for nearly 15 years, Anna Maynard is a registered nurse and is certified as an end-of-life doula. She is highly qualified to work with people facing cancer, cancer treatment and the possibility of dying of the disease.

A Note About the Pandemic: We are especially mindful of the need to be extraordinarily careful in the work that we do with people who are ill. Masks and additional care with hand hygiene and sanitizing of equipment are all built into our service now. Please contact us if you have questions about how we are accommodating the demands of our new COVID-19 world.
