Welcoming a New Board Member

We’re delighted to welcome Dr. Mary Chamberlin to The Hand to Heart Project’s Board of Directors.

Mary is an Associate Professor of Medicine and a breast cancer specialist at the Dartmouth Cancer Center. She has been at DH since a research fellowship in 2003, followed by her medical oncology fellowship from 2004- 2006. Her research focuses on early breast cancer biomarkers and improving treatment adherence, work that directly supports better outcomes for patients.

In November 2025, Mary co-founded Oncology CARES International, a nonprofit dedicated to Collaboration, Advocacy, Research, Education, and Support for oncologists and patients worldwide. Here in the Upper Valley, her passion is expanding access to wellness and recovery programs, especially exercise rehabilitation for patients recovering from breast cancer treatment.

Mary has been a valued oncology advisor to Hand to Heart since 2023, and we are grateful to now welcome her leadership in this expanded role. Her commitment to whole-person care and recovery aligns deeply with our mission.
